I began this process by making a mindmap of words i associate with libraries, and then used these words to think of some idioms.
I already knew i wanted my name to roll off the tongue and be catchy and modern, so it would resonate with younger audiences and not carry the formality of something like ‘Libraries NI’.
i loved getting feedback this way, and it was a good oppetunity to see what everyone else was thinking.
someone else had chosen Open Shelf, but i didnt really mind as i was already swaying towards page and place.
now i had an idea of the kind of logo i want to create, i began making a shortlist of fonts whch fit the tone of Page and Place. i used adobe fonts and google fonts for this process.
