This week we learned about technologies prevelence in both the past and future, and the role it has played in society. We actually did this in reverse, starting on modern day technology and working backwards.
We started off by looking at how AI has evolved and how its used in homes. Devices such as smart lighting, thermostats and voice assistants mean homes can now respond to humans in a way which is helpful.

We also learned about the WorldPoint Software, which shows how far interactive technology has come. It allows users to point at real-world objects with their finger as a "wake gesture," similar to how people point in human-human interaction.

I found it really interesting to learn about Joseph Nicéphore Niépce, who took the first ever photograph in 1826, of his back garden. It’s fascinating to see how far we have come, when this is contrasted by modern day technologies like the World Point software, which allows users to simply point at an object, and have it appear on their phone.
