This week we explored how illustration is used in interface design and why its so important. we looked at various kinds of illustration, the process of illustrating and some famous illustrators.
We discussed Uber as an example, they use illustration really well as it simplifies the user exxperience. For example, when booking a trip instesd of just saying ‘driver on route’ they take it a step further by using a progress bar, and the actual car that is collecting you is used to show the progress. This takes the pressure off users as they can see exactly how long their driver will take.
