This week we had a class critique for our library projects. I discuss the feedback i recieved and the developments i made here.
Despite not having a lecture today, i still learned a lot. critiques are so useful for getting feedback on your own work, but i think its really interesting to see what everybody else is working on too, and hearing how they too can improve. With each critique we have done this year, i feel i have picked up on tips of how to tweak and improve my work. I had reached a point with my library project where i wasn’t really sure what direction to go in next, and this critique was really helpful for seeing it from a new perspective. I ended up changing my wordmark and logomark quite durastically, which is something i wouldn’t have benefitted from had we not done the critique. I was honestly terrified to show my work at the start of the year, but ive realised it always comes at the perfect time, which is when my project just needs an extra push and opinions that aren’t just my own. I think next year i want to try and get feedback more often thn just i. critiques, perhaps by asking classmates i wouldn’t usually chat to.
